Battlefield 6 rolls out update with major fixes, players will be relieved

The Battlefield 6 experience has not been easy in recent months. Between travel bugs, map problems and recurring crashes on consoles, many players have expressed their frustration. This February 3, update 1.1.3.6 arrives with a series of highly anticipated fixes, particularly for the REDSEC Battle Royale mode.

No new map or gameplay revolution, but a clear desire to improve overall stability and correct the most annoying flaws, particularly on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S.

REDSEC Battle Royale: the parachutes finally repaired

Among the elements most criticized for several weeks, the redeployment system in REDSEC was enough to drive you crazy: capricious parachutes, failed insertions, unreadable interface… These malfunctions were corrected in this update.

Players should see a much smoother behavior during their descents in the middle of a match. The reappearance interface has also been revised to avoid confusion which sometimes made returning to the game frustrating, or even impossible.

Movements: no more out-of-sync sprints and uncontrolled jumps

Soldiers’ movements, particularly during the sprinting and jumping phases, were the subject of many complaints. Unintentionally triggered actions or excessive out-of-sync animations could make combat appear chaotic.

Version 1.1.3.6 specifically fixes these anomalies. Involuntary movements have been neutralized without impacting overall responsiveness. In short: no more suspicious slides or absurd jumps, especially in competitive mode.

Three major bugs fixed on the Eastwood map

The Eastwood card had until then benefited from certain aesthetic care, but suffered from several technical flaws. Three major fixes are included in this update:

  • Fixed a graphical bug near the A flag that displayed green and purple artifacts
  • Fixed the B flag destruction bug, which sometimes caused an unmanageable power outage
  • Improved rendering of certain missing or smeared textures

These adjustments aim to make games more readable and fairer on this map, which is very popular with tactical players.

Specific improvements for PS5 and Xbox Series S

The console versions of Battlefield 6 were not spared. On PS5, ownership validation issues were occurring during system events, leading to connection errors. This issue is now resolved.

On Xbox Series S, a recurring crash related to loading weekly challenges, caused by insufficient memory, has also been fixed. Reassuring news for Xbox players who feared this very disabling bug.
