New update attempts to improve the performance of the Steam version

The number of DLC would not be in question

Capcom released update 1.040.03.01 for the Steam version of Monster Hunter Wildswhich confirms the idea that the CPU becomes too busy when you are in the main camp of the game, in particular because of a verification system which slows down what is happening on the screen. A few days ago, an Internet user discovered that the more DLC you have, the less significant the framerate drop is here, because the game runs a background check which causes performance issues. Capcom says, however, that the number of DLCs isn’t really the cause here, but rather the amount of content you can grab.

This update therefore aims to correct this problem, as well as others. New categories for graphics options are implemented. Volumetric fog can now be tuned a little better with five options instead of two, and other adjustments have been made to improve overall performance (you can check out the patch note on Steam). Capcom promises us another update on February 18 (version 1.041), in the hope of improving this version even further.
