007 First Light hit by major leak, end of game already circulating online

With just over six weeks until 007 First Light releases on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, a massive leak has just hit the next game James Bond. An error of theIndonesian Game Rating System (IGRS) exposed confidential videos sent by IO Interactive for title classification.

Result: more than an hour of gameplay 007 First Lightincluding the apparent ending of the game, is already circulating on the web. For a project sold as a very narrative origin story, this is a hard blow, and players allergic to spoilers will have to be particularly careful until the release.

007 First Light leak: how did IGRS let the end of the game slip?

Discovered the weekend of April 12 and 13, 2026, the leak comes from a series of video links hosted for theIGRS and remained publicly accessible. According to Video Games Chroniclethese extracts show key sequences, several plot twists and an “apparent ending” that the site was able to verify as authentic.

Classification bodies such as IGRS or PEGI ask studios for videos detailing violence, language or sexual content to assign an age rating. A classification manager at Riot Games already explained that some boards use poorly secured cloud links, which directly exposes very sensitive scenes when the protection fails. Here, the breach goes beyond 007 First Light : references to Echoes of Aincrad, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced And Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse also appear, as well as thousands of developer email addresses.

Why are 007 First Light spoilers particularly dangerous for players?

007 First Light is presented as a third-person stealth action adventure centered around a 26-year-old Bond, played by Patrick Gibson, who must earn his 00 status. The narrative is linear, with no known major branching points, meaning there is virtually only one way to experience the story and its conclusion.

In this context, seeing the ending on X, TikTok or Reddit amounts to defusing the entire narrative arc before even having the controller in hand. Especially since spoilers are already relayed via out-of-context extracts, aggressive YouTube thumbnails or explicit thread titles. IO Interactive has so far neither confirmed nor denied that the entire finale is in circulation, but the specialized media are treating these images as massive leaks to be avoided.

007 First Light: what to do now, between release date and protection against leaks?

007 First Light remains scheduled for May 27, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series And PCwhile the Nintendo Switch 2 version has been pushed back to summer 2026, without a specific date. For players, the instructions are clear: if you want to discover the origin story of Bond without knowing anything, it is better to configure your filters now.

On X, Instagram or Facebook, mutate keywords like “007 First Light”, “ending”, “leak” or “spoilers”. On YouTube and TikTok, avoid game-related recommendations and don’t click on thumbnails that display images obviously taken from cutscenes. Finally, be careful on Reddit and general forums, where users are already summarizing the scenario. The owners of Nintendo Switch 2who will wait a few more months, will have every interest in keeping these protections active all summer so as not to see Bond’s mission sabotaged even before the departure briefing.
