Thrill seekers can rejoice: a new psychological horror FPS has just arrived as a free demo on Steam. Where Is Lena?developed solo by Ufuk Su and published by Gray Wolves Games, pays homage to classics like Dead Space and Resident Evil while offering its own take on the genre. As a survivor trapped in a dark complex, the player will have to solve puzzles, survive deformed creatures and keep their cool.
A real concentrate of tension from a solo developer
What is striking from the first minutes of play is the atmosphere. Dark corridors, codes to find, anxiety-inducing sound effects: the recipe is simple but effective. The developer has obviously left nothing to chance. On Steam, the first returns are rave. One player comments: “Interesting demo. Short and intense, with gameplay reminiscent of Resident Evil: an evil laboratory, clever puzzles to unearth codes and bloody monsters. Everything made by a solo developer is all the more impressive”
A breathtaking atmosphere, constant tension
The experience is short, but immersive. The story is immediately gripping. Another player writes: “I didn’t expect to be so captivated. The story immediately grabbed me. If you like horror FPS games with constant tension, dark environments and hard-hitting combat, this game is definitely worth it.” Everything is done to make the player feel stress, urgency, and sometimes even a form of chilling loneliness. And despite a reduced duration, certain elements make you want to know a lot more about the universe.
Riddles much tougher than you imagine
Far from a simple action game, Where Is Lena? also focuses on reflection. The codes to find, the mechanisms to activate and the routes to decipher require attention and memory. And it is not the community that will say the opposite. One Steam user sums it up: “The puzzles were surprisingly difficult — they really forced me to think under pressure. I can’t wait to see the rest of the story!” This bodes well for the final version, expected in 2026.
