Below you will find an eclectic selection of demos to discover during this Steam Néo Fest which will take place from October 13 to 20, 2025 at 7 p.m.. As noted above, this is a far from exhaustive selection. Note that this includes some games which played the previews by publishing their demo a few days earlier and that you will find several games created by French games to highlight the talents from our regions.
Tides of Tomorrow
The creators of Road 96 will offer us their next project next February, Tides of Tomorrow. The Montpellier studio DigixArt has created a story that still seems as captivating, still based on moral choices and various consequences, this time in asynchronous multiplayer as we saw at Gamescom. By this, mean that you will follow the choices and decisions of another player preceding you and yours will be followed by other players subsequently. Will you be able to find the right path to get out of bad times and free this world invaded by plastic from an inevitable end?
Marvel Cosmic Invasion
Tribute Games has already managed to pay homage to the Ninja Turtles games of the 90s, and now it plans to do the same with the Marvel games. Marvel Cosmic Invasion is totally in line with this retro movement from the Dotemu label and offers an old-fashioned beat’em up where you play around fifteen very popular characters from the Maison des Idées, from Captain America to Venom via She-Hulk to Rocket Raccoon. The game demo lets you discover two levels to learn the rules of battle and save the universe from the threat of Dormammu.
Valorborn
- Release date: Early access late 2025
- Steam Page
Valorborn is the new project from the Laps Games studio (Land of the Vikings). It takes the form of a sandbox-style medieval fantasy RPG. The content of the demo is very promising with from the outset a very large open world map to explore, but also two starting characters with different statistics, the possibility of taking part in the construction of camps and the battles (and tactical combats) linked to it, while crafting your arsenal thanks to the crafting mechanics, all without time limit, enough to keep you busy for many hours.
REANIMAL
A little thrill, what do you think? The creators of Little Nightmares (whose third episode by Supermassive Games has just been released) offer us a new license, REANIMAL. We were already able to get our hands on it at Gamescom and one thing is certain, the atmosphere is there. The story features a brother and sister who will then go through a real ordeal to save their missing friends and escape from the now inhospitable island, but which was once their home. The demo available in cooperation will take you through the very beginning of the game to give you an opinion before its release next year.
Pardon My French Toast
Previewed during our AGM French Direct this year, the crazy 3D platform game Pardon my French Toast offers to pay you a slice in advance with its demo available during this Steam Neo Fest. You will be able to lead this funny toast through four levels: the Honeyed Fields to get your hands on it, the Fruity Place (an open level with optional paths), the Crocodile Lake to discover the frozen chocolate ability and finally the special training for the most experienced.
Tears of Metal
He was also present during our last AGM French Direct, Tears of Metal will allow you to unwind after a long day. This is a hack n’ slash type roguelike playable in cooperation with up to four players, in which you will have to embody medieval warriors whose aim is to reconquer their kingdom through great battles. The demo will allow you to take part in the very first act of the game, concluding with a boss fight against Gilles the Pig, as well as to see the differences between the four clans of the game. More than 30 rewards will also be unlocked through challenges, in short, a great overview for this French-speaking gem.
Tavern Keeper
Tavern Keeper is a long-term project for the team to whom we owe Game Dev Tycoon. The game will finally be playable via this demo and will offer you an overview of this tavern management experience, in which you will build your establishment before managing it from A to Z. Obviously, the unexpected will be your daily life here, especially in a fantasy world where you will come across orcs and other creatures who want to quench their thirst.
Néro & Sci ∫ Integral Edition
Make way for a cute game, which will also make you think. This is a revised version of A Tale of Synapse: The Chaos Theories. Néro & Sci ∫ Integral Edition is not the classic platform game like so many others, since it appeals to your brain, and especially to your neurons which love mathematics. Behind its platform phases in strange places, the game also wants to ask you to solve some math problems to move forward.
Of Ash and Steel
Of Ash and Steel is an open world game that encourages exploration, to the extent that you play the role of a cartographer responsible for locating places on the island of Grayshaft. But don’t think you’re just here to draw maps. To survive in this environment, you will need to master the art of combat, including becoming the best gladiator around. A game that promises not to hold your hand during your adventure, while offering you lots of quests to discover by chance.
Painkiller
Painkiller is reborn from these ashes in this new, more modern version, which offers a very angry fast-FPS within Purgatory. In this demo playable solo or in online cooperation, you will discover how this new episode sets up quite a arsenal to defeat demons, with several playable characters who have their own advantages.
Bubby 4D
No one would have bet on a Bubsy return in 2025, but nostalgia is a powerful weapon. The mascot returns in a new episode which hopes to rehabilitate the level of the series, still with a 3D platform game. This new opus offers dynamic gameplay with Bubsy more agile and bouncy than ever, who can overcome series of obstacles using several techniques, such as big forward jumps and a Sonic-style roll.
Let it Die: Inferno
The failure of Deathverse has not dampened the enthusiasm of Supertrick Games, which is trying its luck again with Let it Die: Infernoa 3D roguelike in which we plunge into the Gates of Hell in order to acquire power that would allow us to dominate the world. Death is everywhere here, and you will have to equip yourself well during each of your runs to hope to go as far as possible, even if that means getting rid of other competitors along the way.
Skate Story
While Devolver has just announced the release date of the game after several years of waiting, Skate Story is also entitled to a demo on the sidelines of this Steam Neo Fest. In Sam Eng’s game, you take control of a demon whose body is made only of glass. Suffice to say that he may be sumptuous, but he is not the best equipped to take a skateboard trip to Hell. The game offers a skating experience definitely like no other, more sensory, with undeniable charm.
Earth Must Die
A genre often too little represented, point’n click will have a new champion for itself with Earth Must Diewhich asks us to follow the rise of a tyrant who wishes revenge on Earth. The whole thing is coated with a lot of humor, profanity (really a lot), and above all an artistic direction which immediately catches the eye, giving us the impression of following a cartoon. The perfect demo for a good laugh.
Godbreakers
And finally, if you’re looking for another action game to play with a few friends online, you can always try to discover Godbreakerswhich will ask you to fight some tough bosses who will put your team spirit to the test. The gameplay seems rather dynamic, with very fast characters, and you will be able to absorb the characteristics of an enemy to make them your own and use them against them.
Of course, let’s finally remind you that there are still a ton of discoveries to make by going directly to the page dedicated to the Steam Neo Fest.
