It was announced today on the X account of the anime adaptation of “Dorohedoro” that the continuation of the series will be released on demand worldwide “almost simultaneously” in spring 2026. You can find a new visual below.
Predecessor at Netflix
The sequel to the anime adaptation of “Dorohedoro” is being created under the direction of director Yuuichirou Hayashi (“Garo: The Animation – Home”) at Studio MAPPA. Tomohiro Kishi (“Attack on Titan: Final Season”) contributes the character design.
The previous twelve-part series ran from January to March 2020 in Japan and is available on Netflix in the German language version and in the original Japanese version with subtitles. It is currently not known whether the sequel will also be made available there.
The underlying manga series of the same name written by Q Hayashida was released in 23 volumes in Japanese stores from November 2000 to September 2018. In this country the work is available through Manga Cult with a German translation.
