The 30th anniversary of the Pokémon license will start with a special video which will be broadcast during the Super Bowl

No Pokémon Presents on the horizon yet, but the license Pokémon will be talked about in a few days in front of a huge audience to say the least. The Pokémon Company has indeed reserved a slot for Super Bowl LX, which will take place this Sunday, February 8 (early Monday night for us)in order to broadcast a video whose content remains unknown for the moment (except that we will see a Jigglypuff).

We might be able to make the connection with an announcement around music, given the Pokémon used here and the fact that the saga has been at the heart of several pop star singles recently, from Ed Sheeran to Katy Perry.

A big PR stunt for The Pokémon Company, given the Super Bowl audience and the cost of appearing before, during or after the game and celebrations. We’re not banking on an announcement related to video games here, but it will at least launch the festivities for the thirtieth anniversary of the saga. And since the company generally likes to communicate at the end of February, we can probably expect other announcements in the coming days.
