Good news for owners of Nintendo Switch : new free content around the universe Super Mario are available throughout the month. Between collectible icons, thematic backgrounds and nods to several cult games, Nintendo seems determined to please its community.
As is often the case, these rewards are available via the Nintendo Switch Online service, in the section dedicated to missions and rewards. Just use the platinum points accumulated by completing simple challenges, like launching a game or visiting the eShop.
Exclusive Super Mario Bros. icons Wonder
Among the most anticipated, the icons inspired by Super Mario Bros. Wonder are finally available. We find there of course Mario and Luigi, but also other characters from the gang, all associated with emblematic elements of the game like the famous Mario Elephant. Each icon comes with an exclusive background, but be careful: they cannot be used with other series. These elements are therefore only compatible with their respective set.
Bowser’s Fury, Mario Kart and Odyssey also in the spotlight
The bonuses don’t stop there. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is also highlighted, with icons of Mario Catfrom the Double Cherryand the furious version of Bowser, much more threatening than in his classic appearances.
On the circuit side, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is also represented, although some are surprised by the absence of content related to Mario Kart World. Some emblematic drivers are present, without much surprise.
Finally, fans of Super Mario Odyssey will be able to rejoice with the return of 2D illustrations and retro sprites. The level New Donk Citywith Pauline in the background, is one of the most successful tributes to Nintendo history.

Each icon costs between 5 and 10 platinum pointsan amount accessible even for occasional players. These points are obtained simply by completing weekly missions offered by Nintendo.
If these objects cannot be used outside their respective collection, they remain an excellent way to customize your Switch profile. And for those who prefer to wait, these points can also be used to purchase physical products on the official Nintendo store. One thing is certain: this new wave of free Mario content should not be the last.
