A new addition to the gang
Obviously, everyone suspected it (notably because of leaks), the most famous dinosaur from the Super Mario Bros. franchise. will indeed be there. Yoshi makes his appearance in the saga cinematographic and constitutes one of the central elements of this new trailer lasting 2 minwhich we invite you to discover in full French. During the presentation, we notably learned that our two plumber brothers will transform into Mario and Luigi fire outfits, as well as the associated powers, in particular the possibility of throwing fireballs. The opportunity to hear the wonderful traditional music of the license in the background during the search for a possible monster deep in the desert pipes. We will also of course find Toad but also some well-known enemies.
Shigeru Miyamoto took advantage of the presentation to review Yoshi’s history in the Super Mario Bros. license, with his numerous appearances, notably in Super Mario World or obviously, Super Mario Galaxy 2. Chris Meledrandi from Illumination studio then took the floor to provide an update on the production of the film. We learn, for example, that the entire animation part is now finished and that the film is in full post-production, specifically working on the sound design and the music which will attempt to best transcribe the galactic adventures of our heroes.
Music recorded in collaboration with Skywalker Sound, featuring themes from the games Super Mario Galaxy played by an orchestra of 70 musicians.
