Rockstar Games cited in Epstein files, victim accuses former GTA franchise executive

THE US Department of Justice (DOJ) this week released an extensive series of documents related to the case Jeffrey Epsteinor more than 3 million pages. These official records detail the criminal activities of the convicted sex offender, but also numerous correspondences, witness lists and testimonies involving third parties. Among the names that emerge: Sam Housercurrent president of Rockstar GamesAnd Leslie Benziesformer head of GTA at Rockstar North.

He is an identified victim of Epstein, Sarah Ransomewhich mentions Benzies and Houser in a statement included in these documents. Although their mention does not prove a direct link to Epstein himself, the charge against Benzies is serious.

Accusations against Benzies: a statement loaded with meaning

According to the statement of Sarah Ransome, Leslie Benzies allegedly committed sexual assault against him. “Ransome claims Benzies sexually assaulted her, adding that’s not surprising coming from the “creator of GTA.” She specifies that the former president of Rockstar North would also have facilitated his travels. “Benzies knew about the situation and gave him the money to book a ticket to New York in 2006.”

Ransome also binds Sam Houser to Benzies, talking about their common attendance. “having met them \”on numerous occasions\” when she was dating him,” she wrote. She concludes her testimony with an unambiguous statement: “It’s time to reveal what you and your guys at Rockstar North are really up to behind the scenes”, before adding that she is surprised that “no class action has been filed against you yet”.

Rockstar and the video game industry in turmoil

The presence of names from the world of video games in the Epstein files is a surprise to many observers. Especially since Rockstar Gamesthe iconic studio behind the Grand Theft Auto series, is not the only one cited.

Other figures like Bobby Kotickformer CEO ofActivisionalso appear in the documents, notably via a meeting with Epstein around the concept of“economic indoctrination of children through microtransactions”. Even the name of Bill Gates is mentioned in a controversial email.

As for Jeffrey Epsteinhe had already made a name for himself in the video game world when he was banned from Xbox Live in 2013 for “harassment, threats and/or abuse towards other players,” according to an internal document.

No official reaction from Rockstar Games or Take-Two

For now, neither Rockstar Gamesnor its parent company Take-Two Interactive have not reacted publicly to these revelations. It is important to emphasize that documents do not prove direct involvement in Epstein’s crimesbut the charges against Benzies by an identified victim are now public and included in the court file. The situation risks having a considerable media impact, while Rockstar is still actively preparing the release of GTA VI, highly anticipated for 2026.
