Available since November 15 on PlayStation 5, the demo of the highly anticipated Octopath Traveler 0 allows you to discover up to three hours of content before the official launch. This new prequel to the fan-acclaimed RPG saga still adopts the HD-2D visual style characteristic of the series, with particularly careful staging. And the good news: the progress in the demo will be preserved in the full game, expected on December 4.
A generous demo that lays the foundations of the story
From the start, the game immerses the player in a dark and intense adventure. “The first thing you’ll do is create your protagonist and play the game’s explosive introduction. You’ll discover how a joyous village festival turns into tragedy and how your hero sets off on a journey of restoration and revenge.”
Once this prologue is over, you have several story arcs to choose from. “You’ll be chasing three antagonists, known as Masters. Each of them has their own “Master of” story arc, and in the demo you can play the first chapter of each of them in any order you want.”
A fourth arc is also playable, more original: “You can also play through the end of the first chapter of the “Lighters of the Flame” story arc, which focuses on the restoration of Wishvale and the game’s city-building features.”
