The publisher polyband anime has secured the license for the anime adaptation of “Burn the Witch”, which is based on a five-part manga series by Tite Kubo (“Bleach”), and will soon release it on Blu-ray. We summarize.
Release in May 2026
According to current plans, »Burn the Witch« will be released in stores on May 29, 2026 in a Blu-ray complete box. This includes all three episodes as well as the OVA “Burn the Witch #0.8” with German and Japanese voice acting.
However, details about the extras included are still pending at the moment. Pre-orders are now possible on Amazon and in the AKIBA PASS SHOP.
The two studios Colorido and Team Yamahitsuji were responsible for the production of the 2020 fantasy series, which is already available in full on Crunchyroll, and was directed by Tatsurou Kawano. The original work was published by TOKYOPOP with a German translation in March 2021.
