Origins – the “Visions of Four Heroes” DLC arrives on January 22

An ambitious DLC to extend the rebirth of the cult Musou

At the start of the year, Koei Tecmo surprised with a nice upgrade of its flagship license with Dynasty Warriors: Origins. The title will continue this new exploration of the era of the Three Kingdoms thanks to a narrative expansion centered on four emblematic heroes. This makes it possible to introduce new story paths and new alliances, particularly between factions which did not cooperate until then.

Visions of Four Heroes DLC introduced new unpublished stories dedicated to four emblematic figures previously little explored in the base game: Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao and Lu Bu. Presented in the form of alternative “What if?” scenarios. “, these stories will allow us to discover a new side of these legends of the battlefield. This major DLC will also welcome new allies, including Zhuge, a Sentinel of Peace, Diao Chan, famous warrior, as well as a new officer whose identity will be revealed throughout the story.

We will be able to handle two new weapons, Bow and String Dart. Weapons already available will also benefit from a comprehensive update, including new combat arts, enriched skill panels and an increase in the maximum level of characteristics. A new “Training Ground” mode will also appear, offering the opportunity to practice against formidable opponents without suffering the consequences of the battlefield.

For a limited time, any pre-order of Dynasty Warriors: Origins “Visions of Four Heroes” will entitle you to an exclusive outfit for the protagonist: the Yellow Turban outfit. Already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam, the DLC will therefore be released on January 22, 2026. The simultaneous release of the DLC and the game on Nintendo Switch 2 is also confirmed.
