Netflix is ​​showing “Thunder 3” worldwide in a simulcast + trailer


The streaming service Netflix recently announced that it had secured the license for the anime adaptation of “Thunder 3”. We summarize.

Starting in July 2026

“Thunder 3” will be broadcast on Japanese television from July 8, 2026 and will be shown worldwide exclusively on Netflix in the original language with subtitles in simulcast. It is still unclear whether a German language version will also be offered.

The main roles of the Japanese voice cast include Sayumi Suzushiro (Miyu Suzuki in “You and I Are Polar Opposites”) as Pyontarou and Natsumi Kawaida (Yoshiki Tsujinaka in “The Summer Hikaru Died”) as Tsubame.

The underlying manga series written by Yuuki Ikeda appeared in a total of 39 chapters in Kodansha’s “Gekkan Shounen Magazine” between May 2002 and June 2026. The work is available through Panini with a German translation.
