Forget your weekends, Terraria is back to grab you. Available for free through PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscriptions, this indie survival classic might just be your longest adventure of the year. And for good reason: its content can keep you busy for more than 200 hours.
Developed by Re-Logic, Terraria has continued to grow since its initial release in 2011. From simple building sessions to Minecraft to deep explorations of the bowels of the world, the game offers an immense playground, full of surprises, secrets and epic battles.
A gigantic world in your pocket PS Plus
The game is currently included in the Extra and Premium catalogs of PlayStation Plus, available on PS4 and PS5. And if you have been a subscriber for a long time, it is even possible that you have already obtained it via an old Essential offer.
In Terrariait all starts with a few rudimentary tools… and a lot of curiosity. Very quickly, you explore caves, harvest resources, build houses, face monstrous bosses, summon cosmic entities and create your own village.
“The world is at your fingertips as you struggle to survive, explore for fortune and dig for glory. Delve into cavernous expanses, test your courage in battle or build your own city!”, the game’s synopsis proudly announces.
A dizzying lifespan… and a tailor-made experience
According to site estimates How Long To Beatit takes around 50 hours to complete the main story. But if you’re the type to search every corner, complete every objective and collect every item, prepare to spend over 200 hours there.
Terraria does not have a strict linear story: you choose your pace, your priorities, your way of playing. In solo or multiplayer, the game remains one of the best representatives of the sandbox craft-RPG genre, even more than ten years after its release.
Also available on PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile, Terraria finds a new lease of life on PlayStation thanks to its presence on PS Plus. A good opportunity to (re)discover a monument of independent gaming.
