The secret wasn’t really a secret anymore, but it’s now official: Forza Horizon 6 will be released on May 19, 2026 on Xbox Series X/S. This date, first revealed via a screen leak relayed by Dealabswas confirmed a few hours before the Xbox Developer Direct on January 22.
Editions, prices and bonuses: everything you need to know
Like previous installments of the franchise, Forza Horizon 6 will offer several editions :
- Standard Edition : €69.99
- Deluxe Edition : details not yet communicated
- Premium Edition : including many digital bonuses
Here are the Premium bonuses officially listed:
- A VIP subscription (items, cars, credits)
- A Welcome pack
- A Car pass (regular access to new models)
- A Time Trial Pack
Only the Standard edition will be offered in physical version upon its release. The other editions will remain digital at this stage.
A highly anticipated new opus after the success of the 5th part
Released in 2021, Forza Horizon 5 had made an impression with its map inspired by Mexico and its dynamic weather management. This time, the location of the action remains secretbut speculation insistently evokes a highly requested return: Japan.
A denser map, even more realistic weather, reworked AI, new competitive modes and a graphical overhaul are expected to position Forza Horizon 6 as the racing game of the year 2026.
Pre-orders open and fans’ feverish wait
THE Forza Horizon 6 pre-orders opened on the same day as the Developer Direct, January 22. On social networks and specialized forums, the reactions were not long in coming. Many praise the consistency of Playground Games and the optimization planned for the Xbox Series X/S. “If Japan is confirmed, it’s a dream come true. I have already taken my days off,” reads a Reddit post which has thousands of votes.
With fierce competition this year on the AAA side, particularly in RPGs and FPS, Forza Horizon 6 could well become the benchmark racing hit on consoles in 2026.
