While season 2 of Fallout is coming to an end, Prime Video has decided to anticipate the release of the last two episodes. Initially scheduled for Wednesdays, episodes 7 and 8 will finally be broadcast Tuesday, January 27 and February 3 at 6 p.m. (Pacific Time). “Following your strong participation and the interest generated, we have changed the broadcast times for the remaining episodes of season 2,” declared the official account of the series on X (ex-Twitter). This decision appears to be a direct response to the high audience engagement for this second season.
A weekly broadcast that contrasts with season 1
Unlike season 1, which was broadcast in full on the same day, this new burst of episodes follows a weekly rhythm, thus changing the viewing dynamic. Matt Purslow (IGN) points out: “Fallout has a big surprise in store for its season 1 finale […] These flashbacks are hands down the best in the series so far. »
A mixed assessment for season 2
If the season received generally positive reviews, certain points were divisive. Episode 6, for example, was considered a little behind, notably because of an unconvincing super mutant and subplots considered too simple. Despite this, the moral complexity of characters like Lucy or Hank continues to bring depth to the universe, enriching the main story while remaining faithful to the atmosphere of the games.
A long-awaited conclusion
With the introduction of the Enclave in the last episodesexpectations are high. The series could well end with a major revelation which would lay the foundations for an even more ambitious season 3. The choice to bring forward the broadcast could also indicate a marketing strategy aiming to create an event around the finale. Either way, fans have an early date in the Wasteland.
