At least it doesn’t pay
Despite its potential, Echoes of the End will not be able to keep all its promises, even taking into account the fact that this is an AA from a studio with relatively few resources. Not discouraged by the first mixed feedback, Myrkur Games rolled up its sleeves to offer a massive free update, so big that the game was given an “Enhanced Edition” to make the public understand that we are facing a brand new version ofEchoes of the End.
With this update, the action and adventure game offers more customization than ever with new costumes to craft for the protagonist, in addition of a relic system which will give some additional bonuses. There is also talk of better animations and more engaging combat from the start (with the possibility of unlocking certain abilities more quickly).
Among the most notable changes, note that the first level of the game has been completely reworkedwith more extensive backgrounds and better tutorials. To test this, a New Game + mode is now available. Balancing has also been overhauled, with ways to get hints for puzzles that are too difficult.
Echoes of the End: Enhanced Edition is available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
