Capcom releases short film centered on the fall of Raccoon City

These very human monsters

With this short film from Resident Evil RequiemCapcom wants to melt your little heart inside you telling the tragic story of a mother and her daughter, who lived an idyllic life before the spread of the virus and the fall of Raccoon City.

Carried by the interpretation of Maika Monroeseen in quite a few horror films recently (Longlegs, It Follows…), this video obviously seeks to show us the absolute horror caused by these events among the inhabitants of the city (rather than focusing on people who know how to defend themselves well), while highlighting the “human” aspect of the infected that you will have fun killing with Léon (and to a lesser extent Grace) in the next opus.

It is also on this aspect that Capcom insisted during its last presentation of the game, by showing the remains of humanity that there may be in those who will try to eat you, and this short film goes exactly in this direction.

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2. To find out a little more about this episode, don’t hesitate to consult our recent preview.
