Gearbox motivates its players by organizing a collaborative event: achieve collectively 500,000 resuscitations in cooperative mode before February 16, 2026. If the community reaches this goal, all players will receive a free Vault Hunter skin baptized “You’re So Vein”applicable to the four characters in the game. How to get the “You’re So Vein” skin
If the challenge is successful, Gearbox will release a SHiFT code to enter on the official SHiFT website or directly in the game. To take advantage of it, simply:
- Go to shift.gearboxsoftware.com
- Link your SHiFT account with your gaming platform (PS5, Xbox Series or PC)
- Enter the code provided once available
THE SHiFT codes are generally valid for several years, giving all players time to use them without stress.
Personalization always at the heart of the saga
Borderlands 4 continues the tradition when it comes to cosmetics: no complex character creation, but a variety of heads, skins and accessories to unlock.
This system has largely contributed to the success of the franchise. Since the release in September 2025, Gearbox has regularly released content via SHiFT codesincluding seasonal skins, event cosmetics, and golden keys allowing you to obtain rare loot.
A promising roadmap despite the absence on Switch
Even if Borderlands 4 will not ultimately be released on the Nintendo Switch 2, Gearbox is planning several extensions for 2026including the introduction of a new Vault Hunter.
