Released in mid-November 2025, Call of Duty Black Ops 7 continues its update cycle with a patch published on December 10, deployed on all platforms. If the publisher Activision had promised to take better account of player feedback, this new version seems to meet certain concrete expectations.
It targets in particular two crucial aspects of gameplay: competitive multiplayerwith corrections on several maps, and the Zombie modewhere bugs related to weapons, enemies and rewards have been adjusted. A few weeks before the holidays, this update comes at the right time to streamline the experience for millions of active players.
Multiplayer maps more secure against glitches
Loopholes allowing you to exit game areas had become a scourge on certain maps. This patch ends these exploits on the Impasse, Destiny, Scar, Paranoia and Toshin maps. Targeted fixes now prevent players from positioning themselves outside of the intended limits, which was clearly unbalancing games.
Another important adjustment: some specialties and challenges did not work as expected. The Scout Hybrid Combat Specialty was too powerful due to an effect that lasted longer than intended. Challenges like Automatic chaos Or An armed man could be validated after a single elimination, which distorted progression.
Finally, several annoying bugs related to the interface have been corrected, notably in the “A bullet in the chamber” mode in the private game, the incorrect display of statistics, or the selection of factions which did not save after restarting.
Essential adjustments in Zombies mode
The Zombies mode, very popular with fans, had good content, but suffered from several technical problems. On the map Astra Malorumthe LGM-1 rifle had base ammo by mistake, which disrupted its behavior, especially with the GobbleGum or Frenzy Shot effects. This bug has been fixed.
The patch also fixes a frustrating situation where players would sometimes receive the calling card at the end of the main quest… even if they failed the final encounter. Other fixes include a bug blocking the OSCAR character in the starting zone, and a glitch on the map Ashes of the Damned allowing you to freeze zombies.
New balances for enemies and Dead Ops Arcade 4 mode
On the enemy side, the very tough Uber Klaus has received several adjustments: his Tesla coils are now fully functional, his damage has been slightly reduced, and he can finally be stunned. A modification that makes clashes more dynamic and less punitive.
In Dead Ops Arcade 4the number of toxic mushrooms has been balanced according to difficulty: 4 in Casual mode, 5 in Standard, and 7 in Hardcore. This change improves the readability of levels and limits impossible situations in advanced parts.
Retuned challenges, enhanced stability, and improved endgame
The December 10 update also revisits certain objectives deemed too extreme. The challenge Bloodstone Camouflagewhich previously required 30 series of 20 eliminations without damage, is reduced to 5. A logical decision to unlock rewards without excessive grinding.
In co-op, several issues have been resolved: exotic weapons not progressing correctly, ability Ballistic shell which did not go into cooldown, or even melee weapon bugs linked to exotic skills.
The entire patch also includes numerous stability improvementsboth in multiplayer and in Zombies mode, guaranteeing a smoother experience, less prone to crashes or freezes.
