Animal Crossing New Horizons: unlock all Zelda and Splatoon items with this tip

Update 3.0Animal Crossing: New Horizons brings an avalanche of free content. But be careful, to take full advantage of the new collaborations with The Legend of Zelda And Splatoonyou will need to own certain Amiibo figures. These little Nintendo accessories become the key to unlocking exclusive items and inviting new villagers to your island.

By scanning a compatible figure in the Nook Shop, associated items automatically appear in the Promotions tab of the Nook Shopping catalog. It’s then up to you to buy them for a few bells… but with a limit: five items maximum per day.

Zelda: all Amiibo items unlocked

Amiibo from the Zelda universe allow you to make Tulin or Mineru appear on your island. Once invited to the camp, you have access to an impressive collection of objects inspired by the series. Iconic accessories like the Sword of Legend, the Triforce or the Ocarina of Time are available for purchase.

Here are some examples and their price in bells:

  • Triforce: 3,333 bells
  • Legendary sword: 5,000 bells
  • Ocarina of time: 2,500 bells
  • Heart-shaped container: 2,000 bells
  • Statue of the goddess: 2,500 bells
  • Majora’s Mask: 2,500 bells
  • Tulin Outfit: 1,200 bells
  • Ancient Princess Costume: 3,000 Bells

Please note that items obtained this way cannot be re-ordered by other players, even if they pick them up on your island. Only the personal Amiibo scan allows them to be cataloged.

Splatoon: exclusive items and cosplayer villagers

The Splatoon collection works on the same principle. After scanning a compatible Amiibo, Cece or Viche joins your camp. All objects linked to the colorful universe of Splatoon then appear in the catalog.

  • Crab Tank: 2,500 bells
  • Splattershot: 700 bells
  • Ink Tank: 2,500 bells
  • Hero Suit Replica: 3,333 bells
  • Frye Top / Shiver Top: 1,200 bells each
  • Octoling Head: 2,000 bells
  • Super Sea Snail: 1,500 bells

Cece and Viche are not new faces: they were already present in Animal Crossing: New Leafbut with different outfits. From now on, they pay homage to the characters of Splatoon 3with looks inspired by Shiver and Frye.

A limited catalog, a collection over several days

While Amiibo instantly unlock all items in Nook Shopping, acquiring them takes time. With a limit of five items per day, it will take several sessions to complete your collection. And since most items cost between 1,000 and 5,000 bells, it’s best to manage your island finances carefully.

Fortunately, update 3.0 also expanded the storage capacity to 9,000 objects, enough to accommodate all these new features without brutal sorting. For fans of Zelda or Splatoon, this update is a must.

Which Amiibo do you need to use to unlock everything?

The items in each collection are not tied to a single figure. In general :

  • Amiibo Zelda unlock all items in the Zelda universe
  • Amiibo Splatoon unlock all items in the Splatoon collection

On the other hand, to reveal the villagers (Tulin, Mineru, Cece, Viche), you will have to scan specific figurines. Once these villagers are welcomed to the camp, the corresponding items become available in Nook Shopping. This is the only way to legally and sustainably obtain these items in your game.
