Bethesda is releasing Skyrim for the thousandth time, this time on Nintendo Switch 2

Fortunately, the update is free.

Who knows if we’re stuck in an infinite loop, but yes, Skyrim is still in the news in 2025. Bethesda’s RPG returns with its Anniversary Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, a version which therefore includes the three expansions of the game, as well as numerous creations from members of the community.

This version includes some improvements such as better resolution, reduced loading times, and even better performance in general. And since we’re talking about the Nintendo console, you will also be entitled to objects related to the license The Legend of Zeldalike Link’s outfit, his shield, and of course, the Master Sword.

Fortunately, to discover this Switch 2 version, you will not need to checkout again if you already own the Switch version of the game (we are talking about the anniversary edition here). You can upgrade your Switch version to the Switch 2 version right now, without paying a cent more. It’s the least we can do.
