Battlefield 6: new maps, unusual vehicles and complete schedule for season 1

Forget Generic Updates: Season 1 of Battlefield 6 wants to put players at the center of the action, by offering narrative and geographical progression in three stages. The publisher announced the content deployment in three phases: Rogue Ops (already available), California Resistance (November 18) and Winter offensive (December 9). Each update brings its share of new features, maps, vehicles and new environments.

As of October 28, the first phase was launched with Blackwell Fieldsa map designed for snipers and heavy vehicle enthusiasts. In November, place Eastwoodscene of a clash in the Californian suburbs, before concluding the year under the snow with the map Empire State Ice Lock. These additions will not be available all at the same time, but rather gradually, enough to maintain players’ interest over time.

The season kicks off with the update Rogue Opswhich introduces the card Blackwell Fields. The action takes place in the heart of a Californian oil field, with open areas ideal for snipers. The setting is dominated by oil wells, cranes, construction equipment and other structures serving as cover.

But the real novelty is the arrival of IFV Cross Mark 2an armored vehicle capable of accommodating up to four soldiers: a pilot, a roof gunner, and two side passengers. An addition that should appeal to fans of tactical gameplay. “This large-scale map takes place on a massive Californian oil field and features vast open spaces ripe for snipers and long-range combat.”

From November 18, the second phase will shift the conflict into full residential suburb with the map Eastwood. Pax Armata, a hostile faction, attacks a peaceful town in southern California. The battlefield stretches across streets, houses, gardens, and even a golf course. The atmosphere is radically different: no more narrow corridorsof confined areasof close combatbut also strategic openings on long lines of sight.

The surprise comes mainly from new vehicle available on this map: golf cart. Less impressive than a tank, it could become a real tool for rapid movement, even dodging or diversion in the hands of the most creative players. “Clashes are taking place in and around suburban homes, across backyards and even on a golf course.”

Winter offensive: New York under the snow

The third and final phase, called Winter offensivewill arrive just in time for the holidays. It will offer a snowy version of the map Empire Statefame Empire State Ice Lock. This is not a new card strictly speaking, but rather a visual overhaul winter of the original version. No new vehicle this time, but a unique, icy atmosphere, conducive to slow-motion combat. “This is a simple visual update that covers the New York map in ice and snow.”

What to remember from Battlefield 6 Season 1

  • Three multiplayer maps : Blackwell Fields (available), Eastwood (November 18), Empire State Ice Lock (December 9)
  • Two new vehicles : VCI Cross Mark 2 and golf cart
  • Staggered deployment to maintain commitment over time
  • Very varied environments : from the Californian desert to the snowy streets of New York

With this season 1, Battlefield 6 clearly seeks to diversify its gameplay, alternating environmental styles and types of combat. A risky but potentially profitable bet to bring players back into the arena.
