Can a vengeful spirit also be more stable? Ghost of Yoteithe new action game from Sucker Punch released on October 2, 2025, receives its first major update today. Available now on PS5, patch 1.008 fixes several annoying bugs and strengthens the overall stability of the experience.
While the first players are still roaming the slopes of Mount Yōtei alongside Atsu, this update comes at just the right time to erase the first hangers-on from an ambitious launch.
Targeted fixes for a smoother adventure
Update 1.008 primarily addresses rare but blocking crashesespecially during the mission “Wolf’s Den” in Gun Valley or during combat with camera lock. Another bug, which could cause the game to crash after an hour of inactivity, has also been eliminated.
The studio also fixed a mission blocking bug in “A Burning Consequence”, which prevented some players from progressing when entering Matsumae via a circuitous route.
Environment and interface: welcome adjustments
On the side of the universe, Frontier Valley Sanctuary visual resources have been updated: they no longer disappear prematurely and are displayed correctly after being honored.
THE Photo mode has also been retouched. An interface issue caused Frontier’s mailbox bars to overlap with the shooting options – an issue now resolved.
