Streaming service Paramount+ announced today that it will make the original film “Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender” available on demand later this month. We summarize.
Streaming start in July 2026
“Avatar Aang: The Lord of the Elements” will therefore be available exclusively on Paramount+ from July 25, 2026 – including in the original English language with German subtitles. There is a first trailer below.
Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies and Avatar Studios were responsible for producing the 99-minute film. The work was animated by Flying Bark Productions (Australia) and Studio Mir (South Korea), combining classic 2D characters with 3DCG environments. Directed by Lauren Montgomery.
The film, set around ten years after the Nickelodeon series “Avatar: The Lord of the Elements,” was initially intended for a worldwide theatrical release.
However, in December 2025, Paramount changed these plans in favor of an exclusive streaming release. A few months later, in April 2026, the full film was uploaded onto the Internet without permission by third parties.
