It was announced today on the official X account of “Magic Knight Rayearth” that the new anime adaptation will start on October 7th, 2026. You can watch a new trailer further down in this article.

The “Magic Knight Rayearth” remake is being created under the direction of Yui Miura (Assistant Director of “Jujutsu Kaisen 0”) at the E&H Production studio. Shigeru Murakoshi (“Oshi no Ko”) is writing the script, while Satomi Watanabe (“Escha Chron”) is creating the character design.
The main roles of the Japanese voice cast include Ayane Sakura (Yotsuba Nakano in “The Quintessential Quintuplets”) as Hikaru Shidou and Rumi Ookubo (Haru Aomi in “Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle”) as Umi Ryuuzaki.
CLAMP’s original manga series of the same name was published in “Nakayoshi” magazine from November 1993 to February 1995. A first anime adaptation by TMS Entertainment ran in Japan between October 1994 and November 1995.

During a school trip, Hikaru, Umi and Fuu are summoned to the magical world of Cephiro. As legendary knights, they are supposed to save Princess Emeraude, who maintains the balance of the world.
On their journey they face Zagato’s henchmen, search for the Rune Gods and learn that only together can they reach their goal and return home.
