Date of “Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi” on Disney+


The streaming service Disney+ today announced new details about the upcoming spin-off series “Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi” (original: “Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi”). We summarize below.

Premiering in August 2026

All episodes of “Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi” will appear on Disney+ on August 5, 2026, including German and Japanese language versions. You can find the first synchro trailer below.

The studio Production IG is responsible for producing the anime, with Shunsuke Tada (“Legend of the Galactic Heroes: The New Thesis”) directing and Hitoshi Itou (“Attack on Titan: The Final Season”) serving as producer.

“Star Wars: Visions – The Ninth Jedi” opens the new project “Star Wars: Visions Presents”, in which selected stories from the anthology series are expanded into independent series with a more extensive plot.

All three seasons of “Star Wars: Visions,” each consisting of nine short films, are already available on demand on Disney+.
