The streaming service Netflix has announced five new simulcast titles for the summer 2026 season. We summarize the details below.
Simulcasts in summer 2026
The weekly publication of, among other things, will start in just a few days “Sparks of Tomorrow” with German and Japanese language output as well as by “Thunder 3” and »Chainsmoker Cat« in the original sound with subtitles.
Netflix is also expanding its portfolio to include the series “The Bond of the Underworld”whose episodes are made available three months after broadcast in Japan. The special episode “One Piece: Heroines” will be released six days late.

New simulcasts in summer 2026:
July 2nd: “Chainsmoker Cat”
Netflix shows »Chainsmoker Cat« from that July 2, 2026 every Thursday in the uncensored version in the simulcast.
Action:
The chain-smoking cat woman Yani is in financial trouble and sinks into the chaos of her everyday life. With the support of her family and friends, she tries to overcome her nicotine addiction and finally get her life on track.
July 4th: “The Bond of the Underworld” (delayed)
From then on July 4, 2026 published Netflix the anime series “The Bond of the Underworld” weekly with different language versions as well as in the original language with subtitles. The launch takes place exactly three months after the premiere on Crunchyroll.
Action:
Yuru lives in isolation in a mountain village while his twin sister Asa is held captive under mysterious circumstances. He soon discovers a dark secret that changes the fate of the entire village.
July 5th: “Sparks of Tomorrow”
The anime adaptation of “Sparks of Tomorrow” will be from the July 5, 2026 with German dubbing and in the original Japanese sound with German subtitles Netflix can be seen in the simulcast.
Action:
In Kyoto in 1907, young Inako dreams of a self-determined life. Together with the headstrong Kihachi, she sets out to search for a mysterious book that could fundamentally change her future.
July 8th: “Thunder 3”
“Thunder 3” celebrates on July 8, 2026 its premiere on Japanese television and will be broadcast at the same time Netflix released in simulcast with German subtitles.
Action:
When three friends end up in a parallel world ruled by aliens through a mysterious DVD, they set out to save a kidnapped friend. There their new bodies give them unexpected powers.
July 11: “One Piece: Heroines” (delayed)
The special episode »One Piece: Heroines« stands from that July 11, 2026 and thus six days after the Japanese premiere Netflix available on demand.
Action:
Nami wants to put a painful bad purchase experience behind her and meets an eccentric shoe designer.
Together with a talented craftswoman, she discovers a whole new world full of creativity and unexpected possibilities.
