Juntaro is a passionate Japanese angler from a region considered rugged. On his travels he explores culture and cuisine – especially in countries with a dangerous reputation, because he believes that’s where the best food is.

The story, told for a Japanese audience, also shows typically Japanese perspectives. Only one thing is strange: Juntaro sees the world through the filter of a cute anime girl.
