Start of the second “Sakamoto Days” season on Netflix + teaser


On the official X account of the anime adaptation of “Sakamoto Days” it was announced today that the second season will start in January 2027. You can find a new teaser and a visual further down in this article.

The second season of “Sakamoto Days” is being directed by Daisuke Nakajima (“Fight League: Gear Gadget Generators”) at the TMS Entertainment studio. Masaki Watanabe, director of the first season, serves as chief director. The script is again by Taku Kishimoto and the character design by Yo Moriyama.

The main roles of the Japanese cast again include Tomokazu Sugita (Rudeus in “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation”) as Tarou Sakamoto and Nobunaga Shimazaki (Shidou Itsuka in “Date A Live”) as Shin Asakura.

The streaming service Netflix has the 22-part first season, which ran on Japanese television between January and September 2025 and will be released on DVD and Blu-ray by AniMoon Publishing from August 2026, with German and Japanese language versions in its program and is also showing the sequel in a simulcast.
