»Akane-banashi« is getting a second season + teaser


After today’s finale of the first season, it was announced on the official X account of the anime adaptation of “Akane-banashi” that the series will be continued with a second season. You can find a first teaser below.

Starting in January 2027

The second season of “Akane-banashi,” in which the story continues after the “Karaku Cup Arc,” is currently scheduled to start on Japanese television in January 2027. Further details, such as the participants, are still pending.

The twelve-episode first season was directed by Ayumu Watanabe (“Fortune Favors Lady Nikuko”) and Yuu Harima (animation director for “Cop Craft”) in the ZEXCS studio. The first broadcast in Japan took place from April 4th to June 20th, 2026.

The streaming channel aniverse provides all episodes in the original sound with subtitles and also offers the first eight episodes with German dubbing. Six episodes are currently available on Netflix in German and Japanese, with further episodes appearing weekly on Saturdays.
