Through the opening of a website it was announced today that the fantasy novel “The Greatest Magicmaster’s Retirement Plan” (Japanese: “Saikyou Mahoushi no Inton Keikaku”) is receiving an anime adaptation in the form of a TV series. You can find a first teaser together with a visual below.

»The Greatest Magicmaster’s Retirement Plan« is directed by Yuusuke Suzuki (“This Monster Wants to Eat Me”) at Studio HOTLINE. Gigaemon Ichikawa is writing the script, while Yuuki Kitajima is contributing character design.
Yuuto Uemura (Ryousuke Saitou in “Anyway, I’m Falling in Love with You.”) plays the main role of the protagonist Alus Reigin. The series is expected to debut on Japanese television sometime next year.
The original light novel series of the same name by Izushiro has been published in Japan since March 2017 with illustrations by Ruria Miyuki. A manga adaptation by Karu Yoneshiro was published from August 2020 to December 2023 in a total of ten volumes.
