It was announced today on the X account of the anime adaptation of “The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a New Life” that it will be broadcast in Japan from October 2026. You can find a first teaser and a visual below.

»The Laid-Off Cheat-Granting Mage Enjoys a New Life« was created under the direction of Shuu Honma (“Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26”) in the PAWORKS studio. Youko Yonaiyama (“Mono”) is writing the script, while Yuito Kiyosawa (“Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze”) is contributing the character design.

The main roles of the Japanese cast include Daiki Yamashita (Izuku Midoriya in “My Hero Academia”) as Rain Garland and Lynn (Azusa Kannawa in “My Awkward Senpai”) as Lily Flamebell. Yoshino Aoyama sets Margaret Els to music.

The original light novel of the same name by Asa Rokushima has been published in Japan since January 2022 with illustrations by kisui. A manga adaptation by Youmochi Gyoumu debuted in the “Comic Days” app in March 2023.
