Netflix announces third season of “Devil May Cry”.

The streaming service Netflix announced today that it will continue the new anime adaptation of “Devil May Cry” with a third and final season.

Planned as a trilogy

Showrunner Adi Shankar explained during the announcement that “Devil May Cry” was conceived as a trilogy from the start. The first two seasons stood for “Inferno” and “Purgatorio,” while the third season, titled “Paradiso,” is intended to conclude the so-called “Force Edge Saga.”

The announcement comes just a few weeks after the release of the second season on May 12, 2026. This immediately secured a place in Netflix’s global top 10 and remains one of the most-watched series currently.

According to Netflix, the first season received a total of 21.7 million views in 2025. The second season achieved 6.4 million views in its first two weeks, building on the success of its predecessor.

The South Korean studio Mir (“Lookism”) is responsible for producing the adaptation of Capcom’s video game series of the same name. It is currently not known when the third season will appear.
