The streaming start of “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” is getting closer

The first part of the “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” trilogy continues to attract enormous attention, but for many fans the moment they have been waiting for for months is finally approaching: the official start of streaming. We summarize.

Home cinema release announced

After “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” left Japanese theaters a few days ago after a run of almost nine months in cinemas, the next release phase has now been heralded with the announcement of the Japanese Blu-ray release on July 29, 2026.

This means that the global start of streaming doesn’t seem far away and could probably take place just a few months later. International fans in particular have been hoping for this for a long time, as the VoD release has so far been delayed due to the extensive theatrical release.

No specific date has been announced yet, but as usual we will keep you updated as soon as we have any news.

The first “Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle” film opened in Japanese cinemas on July 18, 2025 and immediately became one of the most successful anime films of all time, although the impressive box office result of the previous film “Mugen Train” could not be surpassed. The screen spin-off later also celebrated enormous success internationally and grossed over 741 million US dollars.

According to current information, the theatrical release of the second part is not expected before 2027. An official announcement is still pending.
