Capcom makes a Resident Evil game almost free for a few days, don’t miss it

Capcom hits hard for spring: the publisher sells off a key episode of the saga resident Evil at a ridiculous price on PC. On Steam, the first episode of Resident Evil: Revelations 2 drops to 1.49 dollars (around 1.50 euros), almost the price of a chocolate bar.

The offer is part of the Capcom Spring Sale 2026which accompanies the 30 years of resident Evil with discounts up to 90%. But be careful, this ultra aggressive promo only lasts until April 15, and it only concerns the Steam version. If you’re playing on PC, you’ll have to decide quickly.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 almost free on Steam: what exactly is Capcom offering?

Concretely, it is episode 1, listed as “RER2/BHR2 Episode One: Penal Colony”which goes to 1.49 dollars (around 1.50 euros) instead of 5.99 dollars (around 6 euros), a discount of 75%. This offer is an integral part of the Capcom Spring Sale 2026active on Steam from April 1 to 15 with massive discounts on a selection of games from the publisher.

Useful reminder: Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is an episodic survival horror. Episode 1 serves as an introduction, the following three episodes, the bonus episodes and Raid mode being offered via season packs or complete editions, also on sale but at more traditional prices. In the same wave, the first Resident Evil Revelations is around 4.99 dollars (around 5 euros), and Resident Evil 3 Remake drops to 3.59 dollars (around 3.60 euros) via a Steam key from Fanatical.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 on Steam in 2026: is it still worth it?

Released in 2015, Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is between Resident Evil 5 And Resident Evil 6. We find Claire Redfield and Barry Burton in a more cooperation-oriented survival horror, with a mission structure. For those who are new to the series, the “survival horror” genre mixes ammunition management, constant tension and puzzles, far from the boring shooters.

Content-wise, allow around 10 to 16 hours to complete the full campaign, which gives between 5 and 8 hours of play per dollar or euro spent at this price, without even mentioning the Raid mode which adds replayability in co-op. Technically, the Steam version remains solid in 2026, runs correctly on modest configurations and lends itself well to gaming on Steam Deck. Above all, no official remake of the sub-series Revelations has not been announced, despite some rumors, so waiting for a new version is clearly a gamble.

Resident Evil promo on Steam: until when and what other good deals Capcom can grab?

The window is simple: the promotions of the Capcom Spring Sale 2026 on Steam ends April 15. On the French store, the original trilogy resident Evil 1, 2 and 3 Nemesis as well as Breath of Fire IV are offered at 4.99 euros each, or around half their usual price. Enough to put together a real “horror basket” to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the franchise.

With a budget of 15 to 20 euros, it becomes possible to combine episode 1 of Resident Evil: Revelations 2a classic like Resident Evil 2 90s version and a recent remake like Resident Evil 3 Remakefor dozens of hours of play. For less than 2 euros, testing this cult spin-off remains one of the best value for money at the moment on Steam, especially if Resident Evil Requiem has made you want to catch up on the series.
