The Japanese company Funguild announced today that the manga series “Saved by the Ice Cold Prince’s Embrace” (Japanese: “Migawari Reijou wo Sukutta no wa Reikoku Mujihi na Koori no Ouji no Ai deshita”) is getting a light anime adaptation.
Premiering in July 2026
According to current plans, “Saved by the Ice Cold Prince’s Embrace” will be broadcast on Japanese television from July 2026. Further details, such as a specific start date or the participants, are still pending.
The “Light Anime” process is used for production. This means that the series can be produced in a particularly resource-saving manner, which, however, gives it the visual character of an animated manga rather than a traditional anime.
The underlying manga series was written by Kusabi Kurokawa and has been published in the “Comic Spira” magazine since January 2025. So far, the publisher Funguild has released two volumes into Japanese stores.
The manga itself is based on the light novel of the same name by Hokuhoku Yakiimo, which started in June 2024. Both works are not available in German.
