Red Dead Redemption 2 offers free downloads, but the offer expires soon

Even several years after its release, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to attract players thanks to its online mode. Rockstar regularly offers events that allow you to collect bonuses and cosmetic items without spending money.

This week, players have a new reason to return to the Wild West universe. A series of free rewards are currently available in Red Dead Online, but some of them can only be obtained for a limited time.

Red Dead Online Launches Event Filled With Free Rewards

Rockstar Games has launched a new event called “Illegal Dirties” in Red Dead Online. This event allows players to earn more rewards by participating in smuggling missions. In particular, players can obtain triple rewards in RDO$ and experience. This allows you to progress more quickly in the different activities of the game.

Several cosmetic items can also be unlocked during the event. For example, a single contraband sale allows you to obtain the green Torbay vest. Players who reach level 20 in the career also receive an additional reward: the brown Ortega vest. Finally, those who destroy the customs officers’ barrier in order to free a smuggling route can obtain a white Cossack hat.

Several free cosmetic items available this week

In addition to mission rewards, Rockstar is also offering several free items for a limited time.

  • the beige Porter jacket
  • black Salter shoes
  • the green Churchwell vest
  • the “Slow Cap” emote

These items allow you to customize your character’s appearance and stand out in the game world. The official Rockstar blog also explains how to collect these rewards by participating in the different activities offered in Red Dead Online.

A whole month of bonuses for players

The event is not limited to just a few days. Rockstar has planned a full month of rewards for players who log in regularly. Until March 30, players can participate in smuggling activities to accumulate gold, experience and numerous cosmetic rewards. Players who log in every day can also earn various additional rewards as they progress.

Red Dead Online remains popular despite Rockstar’s silence

Red Dead Online was released in 2018 alongside Red Dead Redemption 2. Despite the lack of major updates in recent years, the game continues to amass a loyal community. Players can still participate in heists, complete missions and improve their character in the Wild West universe imagined by Rockstar. Even though Grand Theft Auto Online remains much more popular, Red Dead Online maintains a passionate following.

With the recent release of Grand Theft Auto VI, some fans are also hoping that Rockstar can devote more attention to the Red Dead franchise soon. In the meantime, players can take advantage of this event to dive back into the game world and collect many free items.
