Red Dead Redemption 3 is finally revealed and the main protagonist is already unanimous

The Red Dead Redemption franchise holds a special place in video game history. After the immense success of Red Dead Redemption 2 in 2018, many players are already wondering which character could embody the next chapter of the saga. Even if Rockstar Games has not confirmed any new projects for the moment, discussions around a possible Red Dead Redemption 3 continue to gain momentum.

At the heart of these debates, one question keeps coming up: who could become the protagonist of the next episode. The series having already marked players with characters like John Marston and Arthur Morgan, the bar is particularly high for whoever takes over the main role.

Sadie Adler, a candidate who brings together some of the fans

In online discussions, particularly on Reddit, one name comes up regularly: Sadie Adler. Introduced in Red Dead Redemption 2, she gradually becomes an important member of Van der Linde’s gang after being saved by its members at the start of the adventure.

Over the course of the game, Sadie transforms into a formidable fighter, capable of facing the dangers of the Wild West alongside Arthur Morgan. Even if she is not the main character of the story, her evolution and her temperament have marked a large part of the community. Some fans can’t hide their excitement at the idea of seeing her take the lead role in a future episode. One of them even sums up his support with a phrase that has gone viral: “My life is yours”.

An idea that nevertheless divides the community

Despite this enthusiasm, not all players are convinced by this idea. Some believe that Sadie Adler’s story has already been concluded in Red Dead Redemption 2. One user explains: “I love Sadie, but I have a hard time imagining how that would work, given that most of the important aspects of her story already take place in Red Dead Redemption 2.” Others recall that the character’s journey is closely linked to that of Arthur Morgan and the tragic end of Dutch van der Linde’s gang.

Another player highlights this point by recalling a notable moment in the game: “At the end of Red Dead Redemption 2, Arthur describes himself and Sadie as more ghosts than people.” Some go even further in their criticism and believe that his story arc is already over. One states: “Sadie is a broken and angry woman who has already killed everyone she had a grudge against.”

Rockstar focused on GTA 6 before returning to the Wild West

Regardless, the next episode of Red Dead Redemption still seems very far away. Rockstar Games is currently focusing its efforts on Grand Theft Auto VI, one of the most anticipated projects in the industry. The game is expected for November and should mobilize a large part of the studio’s teams for several years. In this context, it is unlikely that Rockstar will quickly unveil a new Red Dead Redemption. Players will probably have to wait before returning to the Wild West universe.
