When does Japan Expo Sud 2026 take place?
This year, Japan Expo Sud will take place in just over a week, from Friday February 27 to Sunday March 1 inclusive. The convention will still take place at Parc Chanot in Marseille, and entry will be from 9:30 a.m. for standard ticket holders. As for the zen + comfort tickets as well as the zen tickets, entry will however be a little earlier, at 8:55 a.m. and 9 a.m. respectively. The program for Japan Expo Sud 2026, with the World Cosplay Summit 2026
In this Japan Expo program, you will first find the World Cosplay Summit 2026, taking place Saturday February 28 around 2:30 p.m. This is a competition where cosplayers parade on stage in pairs for 2 minutes and 30 seconds, in order to try to convince the jury with their performances. Very cool thing, the winners of these World Cosplay Summit 2026 will have the opportunity to represent France for the final which will take place in Nagoya, Japan, just that.
As for other activities, know that you will obviously have some concerts, quizzes or even a screening of the animated film The Child of the Month by Kamisari, released in 2022 on Netflix and still available for viewing on the platform. Other activities will of course be included, including signing sessions, and a bit of esports on the video games side with Nintendo League. The opportunity for visitors to play a few Mario Kart World tournaments or even the friendly Mario Tennis Fever, released very recently.
