Scars of Kosmora, sequel to Ember Lab’s superb adventure game, will be released in 2026 on PS5 and PC

The return of a more experienced Kena

This is a return as surprising as it is pleasant. Kena: Scars of Kosmora marks a second episode which aims to be that of maturity. Already from the point of view of its heroine, Kena, now a particularly renowned spiritual guide. But also, a gain in maturity on the part of the studio itself given that its ambition has reached a milestone for this sequel, which we can already see in the announcement trailer.

For her second adventure, Kena arrives on the island of Kosmora to seek answers about a deep illness linked to her past that she endures, altering the powers of her precious staff, and therefore her powers as a guide. Spiritual life on Kosmora revolves around alchemy and elemental powers, and it is therefore quite natural that our heroine will benefit from it.

More precisely, it will be via the help of the different cute companions who will accompany us, each linked to an element, and whose powers will be unlocked over time. In particular, we see a spirit capable of serving as a mount, although we see him very small at the start of the trailer, which will help to explore areas that appear to be more open.

For the rest, it actually seems that the knobs are moved up a notch. The game promises to be even more magnificent, with obviously quite a bit of variety in the environments, the confrontations still seem as punchy as they are technical (especially for the bosses), and the possibilities for exploration and combat should also multiply there.

Kena: Scars of Kosmora will be released on PC (via Steam and Epic) and PS5 in 2026.
